马来西亚海南会馆联合会 The Federation Of Hainan Association Malaysia

The Federation of Hainan Association Malaysia is a national organisation representing the Hainanese community in Malaysia. Founded on 15 November 1933, it brings together 78 affiliated associations and more than 40,000 members. Its work focuses on uniting the community, preserving Hainanese heritage, and supporting educational and economic development. Through events and engagement among its affiliates, the Federation encourages connections across the country and promotes cooperation within the community.

Education is a key part of its activities. The Federation’s scholarship committee offers scholarships and study loans for eligible students pursuing university, vocational, master’s and doctoral studies, while its development fund supports young people and community growth. It also works to preserve Hainanese speech and culture through initiatives such as a national Hainanese dialect talent competition and discussions and performances of original songs. Established in 2016, its Hainan Dialect Development Fund Committee promotes the dialect and cultural exchange between Malaysia and China’s Hainan Province. In 2025, the Federation hosted the 18th World Hainanese Association Conference in Penang.
