About My Identity with Type 2 Diabetes
My Identity with Type 2 Diabetes (MyIDT2D) is an organization dedicated to assisting individuals living with Type-2 diabetes in the area of mental health, with a particular focus on stigma. Stigma, which can manifest as exclusion, rejection, or guilt, is often associated with negative experiences related to the disease. We aim to increase awareness of the health consequences and drivers of T2D stigma through education and promote healthy behaviors using digital solutions.
Our vision is to help people embark on a Stigma-Free Type 2 Diabetes journey. To achieve this, we have established a dedicated board of directors, consisting of individuals with extensive experience in T2D, mental health, education, and project management. Through their expertise and unique perspectives, we strive to break down barriers, create understanding, and make a sustainable difference in the lives of individuals living with Type-2 diabetes.
Together, we are fighting diabetes and supporting those affected by it
