About Myjava
AVF - Audiovizuálny fond is a key player in Slovakia's audiovisual sector, established on January 1, 2009, following the end of the state film monopoly. This public institution replaces the grant program of the Ministry of Culture, offering expanded support and resources. The fund combines public funds with contributions from non-state entities using audiovisual works, such as TV broadcasters and cinema operators.
AVF financially supports various activities, including the development, production, and distribution of Slovak audiovisual works, digitalization of cinemas, film festivals, research, and professional training. With a minimum annual state contribution of 6 million euros, AVF aims to ensure sustainable development in the audiovisual industry in Slovakia through transparent and expert support services. AVF provides subsidies, scholarships, and loans while upholding high standards of professionalism and transparency in its operations.
For a vibrant audiovisual landscape in Slovakia, AVF is the go-to destination for support and development
