Our mahi is disabled person-led so that the disabled person has choice and control over decisions made about their life.

About My Life My Voice
My Life My Voice is a unique brand that offers a volunteer program called Peer Supporters, connecting disabled individuals who share similar disabilities, health impairments, or are facing similar challenges. These Peer Supporters, who are also disabled, provide a supportive connection based on personal experiences and have received specialized training to aid others effectively. By understanding the unique joys and obstacles of living with a disability, they offer valuable insights and solutions.
Peer Supporters are available to anyone in New Zealand, regardless of their location. To find the ideal peer supporter, you can search profiles, enter keywords, or select relevant tags. Once you've identified a suitable match, you can access their profile for more information and use a contact form to initiate contact.
Conversations with peer supporters are confidential and can take place in person, over the phone, or via video calls. Both parties have the freedom to end the connection at any time. My Life My Voice further supports its Peer Supporters through training and supervision, strengthening their abilities to assist others
