About National Museum Volunteers
The National Museum Volunteers (NMV) is a non-profit organization, dedicated to supporting the National Museum Bangkok since 1969. Operating under the Fine Arts Department, NMV offers a wide range of cultural and educational activities, providing deeper insights into the rich history and culture of Thailand and the broader region, fostering intercultural understanding. NMV's primary mission is to train and provide English, French, German, and Japanese guides for foreign visitors to the National Museum Bangkok.
With approximately 150 members from diverse backgrounds and countries, NMV is managed by a Steering Committee chosen from among its members. By becoming a member and guide, you too can contribute to the Bangkok National Museum. NMV's Guiding Workshop and Study Program present a fantastic opportunity to explore the museum's treasures and gain knowledge about Thai Art, Thai History, religion, and culture.
The program is available annually in English, French, and German. Visit the National Museum Bangkok, located in the Phra Nakorn District, to immerse yourself in the wonders of Thai culture and history. Open Wednesday through Sunday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, with the last tickets sold at 3:30 pm.
