Weisser GmbH, a renowned manufacturer of precision turning machines and centers, faced the need for downsizing due to the crisis in the mechanical engineering sector caused by COVID-19. To ensure a socially responsible process, they enlisted the services of MYPEGASUS. After 12 months in the transfer companies, almost all the employees have found new perspectives and opportunities.

The challenging financial situation and the need for organizational adjustments led to restructuring efforts, with 71 employees affected and 50 offered the opportunity to join transfer companies. Prior to entering the transfer companies, all employees underwent profiling to determine their reintegration prospects. Throughout the process, MYPEGASUS provided various support services, including transfer short-time work benefits, job application training, coaching, and individual qualification programs to facilitate successful employment in the regular job market.

The employees displayed great commitment in their search for new jobs and made extensive use of the offered training opportunities. Ultimately, 97% of the affected employees were successfully placed in new positions, with 37 finding new jobs, two opting for self-employment, and four pursuing further training opportunities. MYPEGASUS successfully achieved its goal of using the transfer companies as a bridge to a bright future for as many employees as possible
