Sheepgate

Sheepgate is a transformative, faith-based recovery program rooted in Christ-centered principles, formerly known as Adult & Teen Challenge of the Midlands. With nearly 40 years of experience, Sheepgate aims to guide individuals struggling with addiction, anger, and depression toward genuine healing. The organization offers a structured 12-month residential mentoring program that emphasizes Biblical teachings, helping participants rebuild self-worth and overcome life-controlling issues.

Located in central Iowa, Sheepgate draws inspiration from the historical healing waters near the Sheep Gate in the Bible. They provide a supportive environment where individuals can make significant life changes through spiritual growth and personal development. Residents are required to pay a nominal intake fee, significantly less than many comparable programs. Sheepgate relies on community support to provide essential resources, including lodging, meals, and supervision. Committed to fostering lasting change, Sheepgate not only encourages recovery but also empowers individuals to thrive post-graduation, making a meaningful impact in their lives and communities.
