My Shetland is a heartfelt blog created by a dedicated mother and photographer living in Shetland, Britain’s northernmost isle. This charming space is not only a personal journey meant for her daughters but also a celebration of the enchanting Shetland pony. Readers are treated to an engaging mix of stories, insights, and photography capturing the unique personalities of Shetland ponies, Icelandic horses, and even the sheep on her small farm, Thordale Stud.

Having previously operated a successful riding and trekking school, as well as a carriage driving center, the author combines her love for animals with her passion for photography. Each post shares her adventures in caring for her rescue and non-rescue ponies while promoting the beauty and spirit of these remarkable animals. Through her blog, she invites everyone to experience the joy that these ponies bring to her life and, hopefully, to yours as well. Embrace the warmth of her family and the charm of Shetland through captivating tales and stunning imagery.
