About FEST
Foundation Exploring Skeletal Dysplasia Together (F.E.S.T.) is a UK charity working to promote the welfare of people affected by skeletal dysplasia, commonly known as restricted growth. The organisation brings together research, innovation, collaboration and clinical patient-support experience to encourage a more informed approach to care throughout life, from infancy into adulthood.
F.E.S.T. advocates for people with skeletal dysplasias and their families, supporting their right to make informed healthcare decisions. It backs research intended to improve quality of life and reduce health complications and pain, and works towards better treatment guidelines across a personโs lifespan. The foundation also calls for greater research and UK-wide specialist treatment, with the aim of improving outcomes for people with skeletal dysplasias.
Alongside its advocacy, F.E.S.T. aims to develop a wide range of resources to help people live successfully with skeletal dysplasia. It is part of the Skeletal Dysplasias Alliance, a European group of seven representative organisations for people with achondroplasia and other skeletal dysplasias.
