Star Martial Arts is a family-owned martial arts school serving Gainesville, Florida, and nearby communities since 2001. With locations in West and North Gainesville, the dojo offers programs for children, teens, and adults, combining martial arts training with an emphasis on strength, focus, confidence, respect, and discipline. Kids’ classes are designed for ages 6–12, while adult martial arts welcomes students aged 13 and older. The school also provides an after-school program for children in grades K–5, including school pickup and homework support, and a summer camp for ages 5–12 featuring karate, games, and field trips.
Led by head instructor Justin Scoby, a Taekwondo and kickboxing black belt and US Open Sparring Champion, Star Martial Arts presents its classes as supportive, structured, and achievement-focused. Students earn belts and stripes through demonstrated effort and skill. Families can arrange an introductory experience, with the advertised offer including two weeks of classes and a uniform. The school also provides information for prospective students through its website and phone contacts.
