My Techne is an online service for documenting and sharing personal technology histories. The site began by helping users record the programming languages and operating systems they had used, and has expanded to include additional areas of technology, with more planned over time. Members can create profiles that capture experiences such as a brief period supporting a Ruby on Rails application, a first encounter with functional programming through Scheme, or everyday use of tools like gedit.

Its central purpose is to make an individual’s changing relationship with technology easier to preserve in one place. My Techne presents technology as a personal craft, drawing its name from the Greek word techne, meaning craft.
