Tristar Academy is a family-owned real estate education provider opened in 2015. Based in the Mid-Atlantic, it serves real estate students and licensees in Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia, with additional self-paced courses available in several East Coast states through its education partner, Colibri Real Estate. The academy is an approved real estate education provider in Maryland and Virginia and an independent private career academy approved by the Maryland Higher Education Commission. Its owners bring more than 75 years of combined experience to their teaching.
Tristar offers salesperson and broker prelicensing courses, PSI licensing exam preparation, and continuing education for license renewal. Students can attend live, instructor-led classes online via Zoom or choose self-paced online study; Zoom continuing education courses do not require tests or exams. Course topics include ethics, legislation, fair housing, property management, broker supervision, and brokerage relationships and disclosures. The academy also provides continuing education bundles, professional development courses, and related services such as agent-finding assistance and notary services.
