Veterinary Management Groups (VMG) is a community and support network for independent veterinary practice owners. Its mission is to help members maintain their independence, strengthen their businesses, and focus on providing care to their communities. VMG connects members with peer groups of 18–22 veterinary professionals whose practices share similar business models. These groups offer a confidential setting to exchange knowledge, discuss management and staffing challenges, share solutions, and build lasting professional relationships.

VMG also provides business-building resources and services. Members can access financial and operational benchmarking tools to assess practice performance and support data-informed decisions, along with curated professional development and training for owners and staff. Its purchasing program connects members with more than 60 preferred partners, offering access to purchasing opportunities and potential savings. Additional resources include a Knowledge Center, podcasts, a blog, an economic dashboard, and a VMG/AAHA chart of accounts. Through peer collaboration, education, benchmarking, and purchasing support, VMG helps independent veterinary leaders address the demands of practice ownership and invest in their teams and businesses.
