Naakia

Naakia, based in Oulu, Finland, makes handcrafted THU cheek risers for rifles and shotguns. Made from Finnish birch plywood, the risers are dyed, oiled and waxed for weather resistance. Their adjustable design helps shooters position their cheek and eye consistently, improving alignment with the sights or scope when raising the firearm. A side scale helps users find and repeat their preferred setting, while the secure attachment allows adjustments without tools.

THU risers offer a substantial adjustment range and can help adapt older firearms designed for open sights, as well as rifles fitted with high-mounted scopes. Their open construction lets the stock breathe, and the risers are designed to stay attached in humid conditions. Naakia offers several models, including THU-1 through THU-5, and can customize a riser to a customer’s requested height or other specifications. Customers can install the product themselves using the detailed instructions supplied with an order, or send in a firearm stock for installation. The company also shares examples of custom orders, including wider designs and personalized details.
