Naki is a European powerbank-sharing platform that helps people keep their devices charged while on the move. Rather than buying a powerbank that may be used only once, customers can rent one from a Naki Station, charge their device and return the powerbank at a station that suits them. The company says its network includes more than 2,000 venues across Europe, including cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs, with stations in Belgium, France, Spain and Sweden.
Rentals are available through Naki’s web app, which lets users unlock a powerbank by scanning a station’s QR code without logging in, or through the iOS and Android apps, which offer features such as saved payment methods, rental history and promotional coupons. Customers can pay by usage through the apps or choose a flat-price option using a station payment terminal, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Each powerbank includes Lightning, micro USB and USB-C cables, supporting a wide range of phones, tablets and other devices. Naki also invites businesses to request a station for their venue.
