Nano Potsdam

NANO Science Center in Potsdam, operated by Die Kinderwelt gGmbH, is an interactive destination where children and families can explore science through hands-on discovery. Its largely self-developed exhibits make scientific and technical ideas engaging, accessible, and tangible, with activities ranging from exploring natural phenomena to trying a space-shuttle control experience. Demonstrations such as the mouse maze and chocolate-kiss pump add to the experience, while changing themes introduce fresh questions, including topics such as magnetism, climate, and the environment.

NANO welcomes individual visitors as well as schools, daycare groups, and community organizations. Its learning programs include age-appropriate activities for young children, primary and secondary school groups, and an experiment workshop for curious children aged 8 to 12. Groups can use the center as an extracurricular setting to build knowledge in science, technology, and environmental topics. Families can also celebrate birthdays with activities that combine play, exploration, and research. The center hosts science events and quests featuring researchers, offers special holiday activities, and provides mobile science programming and exhibit design services.
