About nanoCaps AS
nanoCaps is a university start-up founded in Spring 2021 by researchers from the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN). With over 15 years of research at USN, nanoCaps has developed a technology base that is supported by a strong patent portfolio. The company holds exclusive rights to all intellectual property resulting from this research. Located in Horten, Norway's Electronic Coast on Campus Vestfold, nanoCaps is focused on commercializing this technology by creating a unique portfolio of products.
nanoCaps has achieved significant research milestones, developing supercapacitors based on interconnected carbon nanotubes that offer record-breaking attributes such as high sheet capacitance, low series resistance, and high energy density. Furthermore, nanoCaps has also designed a microfabrication process to manufacture 3D MEMS supercapacitors for on-chip and off-chip applications.
