Nano Collective is an open-source community focused on building powerful AI tools that prioritize privacy, local-first operation, and broad access. Its projects are designed to help developers build, automate, and ship faster while retaining control over their tools and workflows, rather than surrendering that control. The collective presents itself as a home for people who want practical AI capabilities grounded in openness and user privacy.

Nano Collective offers AI tools and related resources for developers, with projects available to explore through its website and GitHub. It also provides documentation to help users understand and work with its tools, alongside a blog for updates and community content. Contributors are invited to participate, and the site offers a way to sponsor the collective’s work. By bringing projects, docs, and community participation together, Nano Collective aims to make local-first AI accessible to the people who use and build with it. Its emphasis is on open tools that support development and automation without giving up user control.
