AFI Bibliothèque

AFI develops software designed to support public libraries and make their services easier to manage and access. Its tools serve both library staff and the public, with products used by around 1,200 libraries on Nanook and portals containing millions of documents and reader records.

Nanook is AFI’s web-based integrated library system (SIGB), built for individual libraries and multi-site networks. It centralizes cataloguing, loans, returns, reservations, reader accounts, acquisitions, periodicals and reporting. Features include automated catalogue enrichment, network-wide statistics, inter-site reservations, support for floating collections and an offline loan mode that synchronizes when connectivity returns. Bokeh is the public-facing digital portal that helps libraries present collections, activities and cultural resources to their communities. AFI also offers AFI Multimédia, a secure, Windows-based public-computing solution that provides on-site digital access, and Planook, a staff scheduling tool integrated with Nanook. The company provides hosting, technical assistance and related services. Together, AFI’s products help libraries coordinate operations, improve access to resources and devote more time to welcoming users and cultural outreach.
