NAOB is a Norwegian-language reference resource associated with Det Norske Akademi for Språk og Litteratur. Its website offers a free-text search, giving visitors a way to look up language information through the online service. The resource is supported by an editorial team based at Osterhaus’ gate 27 in Oslo, and the site provides a contact route for enquiries to the NAOB editorial office.
NAOB’s work receives financial support from the state and private foundations, including the Leif and Lucy Høegh Foundation. It also welcomes contributions from users, inviting both small and large gifts through Vipps and a bank account. The site shares information about its cookie use and acknowledges the organisations and individuals who help sustain the resource.
Together, NAOB’s searchable service, editorial presence and funding support reflect an ongoing effort to make a Norwegian language resource available to the public. Its website serves both people seeking language information and those interested in supporting the work behind the resource.
