Napa-Solano Birds

Napa Solano Audubon Society connects people with birds through birding, education, citizen science, conservation advocacy, and habitat preservation, with a focus on the communities of Napa and Solano counties. Its mission is to share the enjoyment of birding, promote scientific understanding of wild birds and their habitats, and provide engaging, science-based education.

The society offers field trips, weekly bird walks, local birding resources, bird family galleries, and events led by experienced birders. Its educational activities include K–12 classroom programs, Junior Audubon, monthly speaker presentations, and community events. Members and volunteers can contribute to citizen science through projects such as bird counts, nestbox trails, and breeding bird surveys, helping gather information about bird populations.

Napa Solano Audubon also advocates for the protection of important bird habitats and supports habitat restoration for birds and other wildlife. Its resources address wildlife corridors, hedgerows, vineyards and agricultural lands, cover cropping, and bird-friendly native plants. The organization welcomes volunteers to assist with programs, walks, classroom visits, special events, and local monitoring projects.
