DANS is a national brand and the leading portal for those seeking scientific information, research data, research software, project descriptions, and much more. Although the NARCIS website and services have been discontinued as of July 3, 2023, the content, including publication metadata and datasets, is still available in the repositories of various institutions for consultation or harvesting. To access research information from Dutch institutions, you can use the Portal of Research Output from the Netherlands, which was initiated by UKB and SURF as a successor to NARCIS.
Moreover, DANS offers domain-specific data stations where the Dutch research community, including archaeologists and social and humanities researchers, can securely store, publish, discover, and share data online. While the DANS Data Stations for Life Sciences and Physical & Technical Sciences are set to go live soon, research data in these fields can currently be searched and deposited in EASY.
