The National Programme Environment (NPE) is a key initiative in the Czech Republic focused on the long-term protection and sustainable use of the environment. It aims to correct the adverse effects of human activities and adapt to climate change while promoting environmental education for citizens. NPE provides financial assistance for projects that are not covered by other programs, such as the Operational Programme Environment or the New Savings Programme, primarily funded from its own resources.

Since its expansion in 2021 under the National Recovery Plan, the programme has facilitated initiatives related to clean mobility, air protection, and circular economy practices. NPE supports projects in eight critical areas, including water, air, waste management, and energy savings, making it accessible to a wide range of applicants, including public institutions and private entities.
