Narrenzunft Seehasen

Narrenzunft Seehasen Ludwigshafen 1883 e.V. is a traditional carnival association in Ludwigshafen on Lake Constance and one of the region’s oldest Fasnacht societies. Founded in 1883, the club preserves the Swabian-Alemannic carnival tradition through traditional costumes, established customs, and community involvement. Its namesake character, the Seehase, or “lake hare,” first appeared in 1957 after a procession in Überlingen inspired the figure’s name and identity.

The association’s work extends beyond the carnival season, bringing members together throughout the year and helping pass local traditions on to future generations.
