About NASFAM
NASFAM, the National Smallholder Farmers' Association of Malawi, is the largest smallholder owned membership organization in the country. Founded in 1995, NASFAM operates on the principles of collective action and is democratically governed by its members. Initially focused on supporting and organizing smallholder tobacco production, NASFAM has since expanded its scope to include other cash and food crops.
Registered under the Trustees Incorporation Act in February 1998, NASFAM is funded by the US Government and is committed to building resilient livelihoods for smallholder farmers. They achieve this through various projects, including the CTA-CRS Project and the Resilience Project, which promote climate-smart agriculture and support farmers affected by natural disasters. Through partnerships, NASFAM delivers capacity building, promotes gender equality, fights HIV and AIDS, addresses food security, and facilitates commercial crop marketing and agro-processing.
They also provide seed multiplication services and engage in warehouse management. Join NASFAM's vibrant community and contribute to the transformation of small-scale farming in Malawi. Access their webmail and stay up-to-date with their initiatives.
