The National Association of School Nurses (NASN) is a professional organization dedicated exclusively to school nursing. Its mission is to optimize student health and learning by advancing the practice of school nursing. NASN equips school nurses with evidence-based resources and support, helping them lead efforts to promote students’ health, safety, and academic achievement through advocacy, education, research, and community connections.

The association offers professional development through online courses, continuing education programs, its annual conference, and the Learning Without Limits virtual conference. Members can access publications, journals, podcasts, clinical practice guidelines, position statements, toolkits, fact sheets, and other resources covering school health and nursing practice. NASN also provides a Learning Center, employment resources, certification information, and opportunities to connect through special interest groups and online communities.

Its advocacy work includes policy updates, legislative priorities, coalition participation, and state advocacy resources. NASN supports research through workforce studies, grants, research priorities, and data resources.
