Nasty Engines LLC is a custom engine shop based in Milltown, Wisconsin, founded by Nick Heinen, who has more than 20 years of experience building high-performance engines. What began as a personal passion has grown into a business focused on tailored engine design and builds rather than one-size-fits-all solutions. The shop develops engines for customers’ specific applications, including dirt late models and off-road racing trucks.
Nasty Engines builds for a range of fuels, including pump gas, race gas, E-85, and alcohol, and offers both naturally aspirated and blown configurations. Customers can start a complete custom build from scratch or seek help diagnosing persistent problems in an existing setup. The shop takes pride in tracking down elusive issues that others have not resolved and in finding the right approach to each project.
Nasty Engines also showcases past and present builds, videos, and event activity. The small, personal shop serves customers by appointment, with walk-ins welcome after calling ahead.
