About NATCA
NATCA, the National Air Traffic Controllers Association, is a labor union and aviation safety organization in the United States. With a membership of nearly 20,000 highly skilled air traffic controllers, engineers, and other aviation safety-related professionals, NATCA is one of the strongest labor unions in the federal sector. Since its certification in 1987, NATCA has been the exclusive bargaining representative for air traffic controllers employed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Beyond representing air traffic controllers, NATCA also represents a range of aviation safety professionals in FAA bargaining units, Department of Defense air traffic facilities, and federal contract towers. As the backbone of the National Airspace System, NATCA members contribute significantly to the U. S.
