Nate Morris is the Chairman and CEO of Morris Industries, a privately held conglomerate headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky. With a passion for solving some of America's most significant challenges, Morris leverages the power of business to address issues such as resource conservation and national security. Prior to Morris Industries, he founded Rubicon Technologies, Inc., one of the largest waste and recycling companies in the United States and across 20 countries.
Under his leadership, Rubicon went public on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in a $2-billion-dollar transaction, and the company was recognized as one of the world's most innovative companies by Fast Company. Despite the challenges he faced growing up in a single-parent, union household, Nate Morris achieved academic success through scholarships and hard work. He graduated from George Washington University, studied public policy at Princeton University, and earned a business degree at Oxford University.
He was named to Fortune Magazine's 40 Under 40 list and the youngest inductee into the Kentucky Entrepreneur Hall of Fame. Additionally, Morris is the founder and Managing Trustee of the Morris Foundation, which aims to provide access to the American Dream for all Kentuckians. He currently serves as the Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Kentucky's Gatton College of Business and Economics.
