The National Basketry Organization (NBO) brings together basket weavers, fiber artists, collectors, and academics to learn, share, and celebrate traditional and contemporary basketry. The organization supports innovation and tradition in basket making and connects people with the art and community of basketry through educational, creative, and cultural opportunities.

NBO offers workshops and classes, articles, videos, and on-demand learning resources for people interested in developing their basketry skills. Its events include a biennial national conference featuring workshops with recognized teachers, as well as a calendar of other basketry gatherings. The organization also highlights exhibitions, shares calls for entries, and presents its own exhibitions. Members can showcase their work, connect with fellow makers, and receive a subscription to Basketry+, NBO’s quarterly magazine featuring basket makers in America.
