About NDI
National Disability Institute (NDI) is dedicated to building a better financial future for people with disabilities. With a strong focus on empowerment, NDI works tirelessly to address the barriers that hinder access to employment, education, skills development, and financial services for individuals living with disabilities. By influencing thinking and behavior through pioneering research, advocacy, policy development, and training, NDI collaborates with various organizations across the country, including financial institutions, employers, government agencies, and community organizations.
NDI offers a range of services and programs to support individuals with disabilities and their families. These include the Financial Wellness and Resilience Center, which provides resources, webinars, reports, and tools to help improve financial literacy and resilience. Additionally, NDI offers programs such as ABLE Accounts, assistive technology loan programs, benefits planning, tax preparation assistance, and employment opportunities through the American Dream Employment Network and Small Business Hub.
With an innovative and collaborative approach, NDI envisions a society where people with disabilities have equal opportunities for financial stability and independence. Their mission is to collaborate and innovate to build a better financial future for people with disabilities and their families. NDI's dedicated staff and diverse board, many of whom have lived experiences of disability, work together to advance new opportunities and create positive change.
