National Energy Awards (NEA) is a prestigious platform that recognizes and rewards Malaysia's industry leaders in the green technology sector. Established in 2018 and spearheaded by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment, and Climate Change, NEA aims to promote the adoption of sustainable energy practices across all industries and sectors.

NEA provides recognition and rewards to individuals, businesses, and organizations that have implemented sustainable energy concepts and practices. Their focus areas include energy conservation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy technologies. By acknowledging and celebrating the achievements of these leaders, NEA encourages industry participation and public acceptance in the pursuit of Malaysia's goal to achieve net-zero GHG emissions by 2050.

In 2023, NEA received 114 submissions and selected 29 winners across Energy Management, Energy Efficiency, and Renewable Energy categories. Notably, 23 Malaysian projects were recognized at the ASEAN Energy Awards 2023. This platform serves as a testament to the exceptional efforts and innovations in Malaysia's sustainable energy sector.
