Nationaler Risiko Gipfel

The National Risk Summit is an independent, nonpartisan initiative focused on strengthening Germany’s security, resilience, and prosperity in the face of environmental, economic, social, and geopolitical risks. Planned for Berlin in spring 2027, the summit will bring together up to 1,000 decision-makers to consider how informed, coordinated action can protect health, essential services, infrastructure, the economy, and social cohesion.

Its program will present concise, accessible insights from established research, outlining major changes in the Earth system, the risks they pose to Germany, and practical responses. Confirmed speakers include researchers and public leaders such as Susanne Moebus, Ottmar Edenhofer, Maja Göpel, Dirk Messner, and Johan Rockström. The event aims to provide a comprehensive assessment of risks, share evidence-based approaches to policy, and encourage cross-party solutions. It is intended as the starting point for ongoing dialogue among government, business, and the public. Developed in collaboration with the UK’s National Emergency Briefing, the summit welcomes support through partnerships, volunteering, and donations; its delivery depends on funding that safeguards its independence and nonpartisan work.
