About National Honey Bee Day
HoneyLove is an urban beekeeping organization dedicated to protecting honey bees and helping communities understand their importance. Its work combines education, community action, and advocacy to support the health and well-being of honey bees and the future of beekeeping. HoneyLove offers workshops, educational resources, and materials for schools, environmental centers, and community programs. It also encourages people to get involved through volunteering, membership, donations, and local events, and provides information on reporting bee kills and helping rescue bees.
A key initiative is National Honey Bee Day, which brings together beekeepers, associations, and bee enthusiasts to celebrate honey bees and promote beekeeping. HoneyLove encourages participating groups to host free public activities such as apiary visits, honey tastings, beginner classes, and educational programs. These events aim to teach the public about bees, advance beekeeping, and raise awareness of environmental issues affecting pollinators. Through its programs and outreach, HoneyLove works to build local support for beekeeping and inspire people to help protect honey bees.
