National Parks UK is dedicated to fostering a deep connection between young people and nature through their Green Generation project, which inspires future generations to appreciate stunning landscapes. The initiative features Green Pathways, a collection of educational programs designed for outdoor educators and youth leaders, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility. Within this framework, there are three primary pathways: Green Shoots, which connects schools and youth groups to the Green Economy; Green Beacons, focusing on training youth leaders who can inspire others to explore the outdoors; and Green Leaders, empowering young individuals to take active roles in environmental stewardship.

To date, Green Pathways has engaged thousands of young people in both residential stays and day visits, enhancing their connection to nature. Additionally, the organization offers a variety of apprenticeship schemes and youth awards, paving the way for careers dedicated to environmental conservation.
