About National Sporting
The National Sporting Library & Museum (NSLM) is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and sharing the literature, art, and culture of equestrian, angling, and field sports. Established in 1954 and located in Middleburg, Virginia, the NSLM offers an inviting campus, a world-class research Library, and a fine art Museum that showcase the rich heritage and tradition of country pursuits. Visitors can explore a wide range of subjects related to sports like angling, horsemanship, shooting, steeplechasing, foxhunting, racing, polo, coaching, and wildlife through the institution's extensive collections of books, rare manuscripts, archives, and art.
The NSLM also offers a variety of educational programs, exhibitions, and family activities throughout the year. The Museum highlights current and upcoming exhibitions, including Women and Horses Revisited: Charles Rumph Photography and Romantic Bronzes from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
