National Transport Authority (NTA) is the statutory non-commercial body operating under the Department of Transport. They derive their powers from legislation such as the Public Transport Regulation Act (2009) and the Dublin Transport Authority Act (2008), and in 2011, they assumed control of regulating the small public service vehicle (SPSV) sector.
