Natib, the National Center for Jewish Identity and Conversion, leads Israel’s official state conversion preparation programs and serves as the government’s operational arm in this field. For more than 25 years, it has supported people pursuing conversion through accessible courses offered across the country, in multiple languages and at convenient times. Its civilian program is described as Israel’s largest conversion preparation course, with more than 100 classes running weekly. Natib also offers a program for people undertaking conversion during military service.

Course participants explore Jewish texts and traditions, including the Bible, history, Zionism, faith, and Jewish thought. The programs aim to connect students with their heritage while providing guidance and personal support throughout the process. The state conversion process is offered without charge and includes registration, Jewish studies, and three meetings with a conversion court, for which Natib provides preparation and accompaniment. The organization presents conversion as a meaningful personal journey that contributes to strengthening Jewish identity and unity in Israel.
