Bulgarian Organic Foods (BOF) is the largest recognized organization of producers of organic honey and bee products in Bulgaria. Established in 2013 by organic beekeepers in the Targovishte region, BOF currently encompasses 27 bee farms with over 5000 organically certified beehives. Our main goal is to promote and market organic beekeeping and the development of organic honey production. We are a group of beekeepers who sustain ourselves through honey production, a choice that is not only hereditary but also consciously made. Our aim is to develop organic beekeeping, providing conditions that closely resemble the bees' natural way of life evolved over millions of years. Situated in ecologically clean areas, away from industrialization and intensive agriculture, our apiaries are located in the picturesque gorge of the Iskar River and the Eastern Balkan Mountains, ensuring a rich biological diversity. Our beekeepers strive to maintain the harmony between bees, their activities, and human intervention.
