Natural Impacts Ltd is a renowned brand in the field of high strain rate testing, led by the expertise of Dr. Roger White with over 30 years of experience. Dr.

White is an award-winning engineer and possesses a strong academic background in materials science and shock physics. The brand originated from Dr. White's student placement with the UK Ministry of Defence in 1988, where he actively contributed to the application of Finite Element modelling to ballistic impacts.

After completing a PhD, Dr. White refined the Split Hopkinson Bars (SHB) and developed innovative techniques to characterize materials under isothermal and adiabatic conditions across various temperatures and strain rates. In 1998, he established and managed the dynamic testing laboratory at the Royal Aircraft Establishment in Farnborough.

In 2003, upon the closure of the bird-gun facility, Dr. White seized the opportunity to venture into the commercial sector and started Natural Impacts. Today, Natural Impacts operates from a secure MoD infrastructure, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and an experienced team of scientists and engineers.
