NaturDive

NaturDive is a French association dedicated to studying, preserving, and protecting the marine environment, with a focus on the Mediterranean. Its team of marine biologists and scientific divers combines research, practical conservation, and public education to support marine biodiversity and the health of coastal habitats.

The association conducts naturalist surveys and assesses the condition of marine ecosystems, using methods such as underwater observation, photography, and scientific diving. It also develops ecological restoration projects for fragile habitats, including Posidonia seagrass meadows and coralligenous reefs. In collaboration with artisanal fishers, NaturDive works to remove lost fishing gear from the sea.

NaturDive runs environmental learning activities for school communities through Educational Marine Areas and engages the wider public with science communication resources, conferences, films, exhibitions, and awareness events. People can support its initiatives through donations or sponsorship, and the association invites the public to report lost fishing nets. Based in Cannes, NaturDive brings together scientific knowledge and community action to help protect Mediterranean marine life.
