Nature & Photo bridges art and science through nature photography, avian surveys, and environmental education. The organization welcomes people with all levels of photography experience, offering guidance on capturing subjects ranging from birds and landscapes to wildflowers. Its activities include bird photography boat trips, game drives, workshops, and nature walks, designed to make learning engaging and encourage a closer appreciation of the natural environment.

Nature & Photo also conducts avian surveys, including fieldwork connected with wind and solar energy, to monitor birdlife in renewable energy settings. Its youth programs introduce children to nature and environmental care through practical, outdoor learning, with offerings such as the Young Explorers Club. The organization’s events and experiences include visits to places such as the Berg River and the West Coast, where participants can observe wildlife, develop photography skills, and enjoy the landscape. Testimonials describe the trips as welcoming and educational, with guidance that helps participants notice nature in new ways.
