Nature Kids Motueka is a small, family-owned and operated early childhood education centre in Motueka, serving children aged two to six. Guided by its philosophy, “let nature be your teacher,” the centre provides nature-based education and care in a small, homelike environment. Its approach emphasizes positive, collaborative relationships with children, families and the wider community, while respecting and encouraging diversity. The centre’s enthusiastic kaiako (teachers) are dedicated to nature-based learning and aim to create a setting where children and families are known and supported.

Nature Kids offers up to 24 free hours per week, with full-day sessions from 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., Monday to Friday, as well as morning and afternoon half-day options. It follows school terms and closes during school holidays and on public holidays. Outdoor learning is part of the centre’s offering, which includes a bike track for tamariki (children). Families can learn more about the centre’s philosophy, teaching team, sessions and activities through its website and photo gallery.
