Nature Photographer of the Year (NPOTY) is a prestigious worldwide nature photo competition that has been running for seven years. With participants from over 96 countries, the contest seeks to crown the Nature Photographer of the Year 2023 and offers incredible prizes such as €3000 cash for the overall winner, as well as other cash prizes and photo equipment. In 2022 alone, our judges reviewed over 20,000 images, showcasing the vibrant and diverse world of nature photography.

The award ceremony, where all the winning images are presented, takes place during the Nature Talks Photo Festival in the Netherlands. This two-day event offers visitors the opportunity to attend presentations from more than 50 top nature photographers. Additionally, a 2000 m2 exhibition floor featuring top brands, various photo workshops, masterclasses, nature movies, and the photo exhibition of the winners awaits enthusiasts.

The competition is open to residents of all countries and offers 10 different categories, a portfolio award, and a young NPOTY award. By joining the contest, participants also support the Nature Talks foundation, a non-profit organization that contributes to conservation projects in the Netherlands and Belgium. So, apart from the chance to win fantastic prizes, entrants can also make a positive impact on the environment.
