The Museum für Naturkunde Berlin is a natural history museum and research institution dedicated to exploring the diversity of life and the history of our planet. Its exhibitions invite visitors to discover and understand Earth, evolution, biodiversity and the natural world, with highlights including dinosaurs from the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. The museum also presents parts of its scientific collections, including birds, fossils and preserved specimens, and explains how collections support research into evolution, extinction and climate change.

Alongside exhibitions, the museum offers guided tours, family activities, workshops, lectures, conferences and educational programmes for adults, children, schools, groups and researchers. Visitors can also explore through digital resources and take part in activities such as microscopy. Its research spans the dynamics of nature, the future of collections, and relationships between society and nature. The institution is developing new spaces for research, exchange and shared learning through its Museums-Evolution programme, which includes building work and the opening up of collections.
