The Museum für Naturkunde Berlin is a natural history museum dedicated to exploring the diversity of life and the history of our planet. Through its exhibitions, collections and research, it helps visitors discover and understand Earth, evolution and biodiversity, while examining the connections between nature and society. Its displays include dinosaurs from the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, alongside changing exhibitions that bring research collections into public view, including the museum’s bird and wet collections.

The museum offers a broad programme of guided tours, family activities, workshops, lectures, conferences and educational resources for adults, children, families, students, researchers and groups. Visitors can also explore digital offerings, audio guides and interactive activities. Behind the public programme, the museum conducts research across areas including the dynamics of nature, the future of collections, and society and nature, supported by extensive scientific collections and specialist facilities. The institution is developing its museum spaces, making collections more accessible and creating new opportunities for research, exchange and learning.
