Stichting Wooninitiatief Natuurlijk Thuys is een ouderinitiatief voor het beschermd en begeleid wonen van 11 jongvolwassenen met een verstandelijke beperking. Een kleinschalige woonvorm met 24 uurs zorg. We willen dat onze bewoners in een warme sfeervolle omgeving kunnen wonen in een groene omgeving én dichtbij voorzieningen. Beschermd wonen en samen een familie vormen. Iedere bewoner is uniek en samen vormen zij een prachtig geheel. Wij gaan ons zorgcomplex bouwen op Kloostergoed Theresiapark in Vught. Een prachtig landgoed, waar vroeger de zusters leefden. Een nieuwe woonomgeving waarbij het authentieke karakter wordt gekoesterd én verrijkt. Een heel bijzondere plek voor onze bijzondere bewoners. In totaal zullen er 156 nieuwbouwwoningen verrijzen in deze bestaande bos- en parkachtige setting. Het is onze ambitie om zelf deze huisvesting te realiseren voor onze kinderen. Een enorme uitdaging, die nodig is om de toekomstbestendigheid voor het wonen met zorg te kunnen waarborgen. Wij krijgen hiervoor ondersteuning van andere stichtingen, die het belangrijk vinden dat mensen met een verstandelijke beperking ook echt kunnen meedoen binnen onze samenleving. Uiteraard blijven we zoeken naar hulp, expertise en donaties in welke vorm dan ook. Samen bouwen, voor onze prachtige jongeren.

Natuurlijk Thuys is a parent-led residential initiative in Vught, the Netherlands, creating a warm and secure home for young adults with intellectual disabilities and other support needs. Its small-scale community is designed for 11 residents, who have suitable work or daytime activities outside the home. With care available around the clock, the initiative combines support with opportunities for residents to live as independently as possible and exercise personal choice.
