Natuurpunt is a volunteer organization that protects vulnerable and threatened nature in Flanders. With more than 48.000 volunteers, organized in around 160 local departments, our NGO manages more than 26.000 hectares of Flemish nature in 500 different nature reserves. Our volunteers play a key role. They take the initiative for purchases of new nature, they manage the reserves and make our nature accessible for the public. In order to give all people a chance to find rest and to experience the beauty of nature, the volunteers of Natuurpunt organize a range of activities: they install hiking trails, organize guided walks, excursions, courses, ... Thanks to the work of over 120 field study groups and the online platform 'Waarnemingen.be' volunteers keep track of our Flemish nature's health. This research provides us the scientific basis for persuading the government into acting accordingly. The volunteers are supported in their work by more than 124.000 Natuurpunt members.

About Natuurpunt
Natuurpunt is een onafhankelijke vrijwilligersvereniging die zich inzet voor de bescherming van kwetsbare en bedreigde natuur in Vlaanderen. Als natuurliefhebber kun je genieten van onze prachtige natuurgebieden, waar je uitgestippelde routes kunt volgen en informatie kunt vinden in onze bezoekerscentra. Door lid te worden van Natuurpunt help je bij de bescherming van de natuur en ontvang je diverse voordelen, waaronder een Fiets- en Wandelgids en kortingen bij onze partners.
Daarnaast bieden we een uitgebreid scala aan activiteiten, zoals cursussen en wandelingen, waar je kunt genieten van de natuur en meer kunt leren over verschillende diersoorten. Blijf op de hoogte van het laatste natuurnieuws en schrijf je in voor onze nieuwsbrief. Help ook mee om de insectenpopulatie te beschermen door deel te nemen aan de Insectenzomer en insecten in kaart te brengen in Vlaanderen.
