With over 30 years of experience, the organization has established more than 150 community seed banks across 22 Indian states, dedicated to conserving native seed varieties that support climate resilience and biodiversity. Navdanya’s farmers cultivate organic living food, rejecting toxic agricultural practices that harm health and the environment.

The organization also runs Earth University, offering courses that empower individuals to engage with ecological care, agroecology, and regenerative organic agriculture. As a symbol of their mission, Navdanya translates to nine seeds, representing both the protection of biological diversity and the right to save and share seeds.
