The Navis Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing pediatric cancer research and helping children and survivors reclaim the experiences of childhood. Founded after the familyโs daughter, Alessia, was treated for Wilms tumor, the organization supports research into rare pediatric tumors and cancers. Proceeds from its events fund Dr. Michael Ortizโs research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, with the goal of contributing to better, less toxic treatments for children.
The foundation also runs the Unstoppable Grant Program, which helps eligible U.S. children under 18 who have been diagnosed with cancer or are in survivorship take part in sports, fitness, wellness and recreational activities. Grants support costs such as lessons and participation fees, and approved funds are paid directly to activity or sports providers. The foundation raises support through donations, its Giving Tree initiative, and community events, including golf and tennis outings. Its work is guided by the belief that movement, connection and play can be important parts of healing, helping children not only survive cancer but thrive afterward.
